SONIC YOUTH SUMMER 2006 TOUR
Sonic Youth will spend most of the summer shredding their way across the USA, with brief jaunts to Australia and Japan. First up is a headlining stretch from NYC to Reno, with stops in a couple cities not visited by SY for over a decade. Tickets for this leg of the tour go on sale May 5. Ticket onsale information will be on sonicyouth.com May 3 in the PM.

The band then heads to Australia for the Splendour in the Grassand tickets Splendour in the Grass festival on the 22nd, plus shows in Melbourne (24th) and Sydney (26th). More info on these two shows at frontiertouring.com. Then it's on to Japan for Fujirock on July 29, alongside such acts as the Yeah Yeah Yeah's and Killing Joke. More info here.
Back in the USA SY will play two festival dates: the Kuyahoga Festival on August 3 in Cleveland, and the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago on August 5.
Look out for more shows through August when the next round of dates are announced.
